The free hula show
Centerstage, on Street Level 1 in Center Court, has a free 20-minute hula show with kahiko, the traditional style, and ʻauana, the modern one. The mall lists it at 3pm, Monday to Saturday, with a keiki hula show on Sundays. Schedules change with the weather and with events, so check the mall’s events page before you head down.
For something to sip while you watch, Island Vintage Coffee pours 100% Kona near Centerstage, and K. Minamoto makes Japanese sweets with seasonal fruit.
A snack or a market run
- 85°C Bakery Cafe, one floor up near Macy’s, has breads, pastries, cakes and boba.
- Foodland Farms on Level 1 has poke, sushi and sandwiches, a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf inside, and fresh lei. It opens at 6am and closes at 10pm.
- Nijiya Market, also on Level 1, is a grocery.
Mall hours
Ala Moana Center is open 10am to 8pm on most days. Store hours vary, and holidays change them, so check the mall’s own site before a long errand. The salon is open Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 7pm, and Sunday 9:30am to 6pm.
Not there anymore
Older guides still send people to Shirokiya’s Japan Village Walk and to Mariposa in Neiman Marcus. Shirokiya closed in 2020, and Neiman Marcus, Mariposa with it, closed in May 2026. Dave & Buster’s now has the old Shirokiya space.
Book your manipedi
Walk in if you are already at the mall. If a chair is open we will take you. If you want a set time, call (808) 949-0600 and we will hold one. We are on Level 2, in the Macy’s wing, above Barnes & Noble. Here is the walk up from the escalator.
